An 8×12 inch photograph hand signed by divemaster and stunt double John ‘Big John’ McLaughlin.
He was a key member of the underwater team in “The Spy Who Loved Me” and also doubled for Richard Kiel during those scenes with the shark.
A rare autograph which was signed for the collection of Steve Oxenrider in May of 2013.
Steve became good friends with Big John over the years and this is one of several photograph he signed.
As well as “The Spy Who Loved Me”, Big John also worked on “Dr. No”, “Goldfinger”, “Thunderball”, “You Only Live Twice”, “Live & Let Die”, “Moonraker”, “For Your Eyes Only”, “Never Say Never Again” and “Licence To Kill”.
Caution should be considered for collectors as a large number of forgeries originating from a German counterfeiter, supposedly signed by Big John on an underwater photo of him as Largo in “Thunderball”. These signature are difficult to differentiate to the genuine article.
