Authentication Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction and Definitions -
Welcome to 'The Bond Archives' Autograph Authentication Services. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our authentication services. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Definitions:

"Service Provider" refers to 'The Bond Archives' and it's personnel.
"Client" refers to any individual or entity submitting items for authentication.
"Item" refers to any autograph, signature, or signed memorabilia submitted for authentication.

2. Services Offered -
We offer the following autograph authentication services:

Mail-in Full Authentication Service: Submit your items via post for a complete examination. This service includes an individually numbered tamper-proof hologram to be affixed on any item which passes our process.
In Person visit from a member of the Authentication team: For large collections you can Schedule a home or office visit for on-site authentication.
Witness Authentication Services: Book an Authenticator to authenticate your Private Autograph Signing or Event.
Signature Review Service: Submit a high resolution scan or auction link of an item for our quick opinions on authenticity.

3. Full Authentication Process -
Our Full authentication examining process includes:

A thorough visual inspection of the signature and it's composition.
Expert comparison to fully authenticated signature examples.
Historical research into the history of the provenance.

We apply our specialist, multi-step process to ensure the highest level of accuracy with our authentications. However, please note that an authentication is an opinion-based service and absolute certainty cannot be guaranteed unless we physically witness the signature in question being signed.

4. Pricing and Payment Terms -
Our pricing structure is as follows:

Signature Review Service: £10 per item
Full Authentication Service: Prices vary according to the signatory name. Please search our database on the full authentications page. Includes full examination, Official 'The Bond Archives' tamper-proof Hologram Sticker, and Official 'The Bond Archives' database registration of autograph.
Large collection or Witness Authentication service: Please contact our team via email to [email protected] with your requirements and we will respond with our quote.
Return Tracked Postage: £6.95 (UK) and £15 (International). Other courier services available, please contact us for more!

Payment is due in full before any of our processes begins.

5. Processing Times -
. Signature Review Service: Typical responses are made within 24-48 hours.
. Full Authentication Service: While we strive to provide a timely service, turnaround times may vary based on service type and current workload. We therefore cannot guarantee specific completion dates unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

6. Liability and Limitations -
The Bond Archives liability is limited to the authentication fee paid. We are not liable for:

Misattribution of authenticity, provided we have followed our standard procedures.
Damage during handling, except in cases of gross negligence.
Consequential damages or lost profits resulting from our opinions.
Delays in service delivery, unless specifically guaranteed in writing.

7. Refund Policy -
Refunds are available only in the rare cases where we fail to provide the agreed-upon service. Disagreement with our authentication opinion does not qualify for a refund.

8. Confidentiality -
We treat all client information and item details as strictly confidential. However, we reserve the right to use images of authenticated items for educational or marketing purposes, unless the client explicitly requests us not to do so.

9. Dispute Resolution -
"If any disagreements arise concerning these Terms or the services we provide, they will be resolved through arbitration proceedings in [English Law], following the relevant laws of [United Kingdom]."

10. Amendments to Terms -
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

By submitting an item for authentication, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

All autographs, props and private interviews displayed within the Bond Archives & Bond Autograph Archives are owned and exclusively displayed by the Bond Archives, unless stated otherwise.
